Will someone PLEASE wean Barack Obama from the Teleprompter? He has a rich voice. He’s impressive to listen to. But the minute I watch him speak, he loses me. He cannot take his eyes off the Teleprompter. His eyes dart to the left and then to the right and back and forth. His head rotates right and then left. He never looks at his audience. He never looks at the camera. It’s like he’s watching a tennis match. The effect is like he’s speaking to someone offstage, or slightly above the heads of the audience.
Without eye contact, there is no contact with the audience. And it’s even worse for the TV viewer. He’s a man consumed with reading a message someone else has written. I want a President who speaks to ME.
He has brilliant speech writers. He has a brilliant staff. Can’t anyone see this huge problem?? McCain is very capable of coming off warm and folksy. He LOOKS at his audience, he smiles at them, he addresses them. Please pass this on to the Obama people! Get him off that Teleprompter. Get him connected with the voters!

Haven’t you noticed whenever he speaks impromptu he ums and ahs continuously. The idea that he is a brilliant orator is bogus. It’s all media hype.
